Gary Hart returned from his broken leg sustained during the Division 2 Championship run in, playing a part in the win over the Rocks at Nyewood lane.
Two goals from Shaun Wilkinson in the first half, one an excellent shot after chesting down in the area, the second a header from a right wing cross, made the game comfortable for Brighton.
Paul Brooker scored the third with a deflected shot in the second half.
