ZzzzzZZzzzzZzzzzzz. Ravens View of Brighton v Oldham.

Mickey Adams would have been sacked in his first 6 months if people had got what they wanted, and look what a great motivater and manager he turned out to be (sorry Phil).

Adams eventually changed the squad to one that he wanted, I think at the end of this season McGhee will do the same. We clearly lack a midfielder and a decent winger.

The loss of Paul Brooker is IMHO being felt more than Zamora as we have nobody able to even try and fill the position.

As for Saturday, we desperately miss a speedy winger, somebody to beat players and scare the defence. At the moment to me we still look too predictable, Leon Knight being the exception.

The players don't appear to be able to anticipate any crosses, defenders are left with too few options and resort to long balls over Leon's head or out in to touch.

In the first half we had one chance. Yeates put in a corner/cross that went along the 6 yard box without an Albion player being alive to the goal scoring chance.

Knight was dropping deep or wide to try and get the ball and create a chance. Second half and we were no better, until Virgo came on up front and created havoc.

Roberts had earlier made 2 fine saves, somehow pushing one shot on to the bar. Their keeper responded with 2 great saves to earn Oldham a well deserved point

Roberts - 7 my MOTM
Mayo - 5 option 1 - long ball
Watson - 5 as above but still failed to put in a decisive cross
Cullip - 6 solid defending
Butters - 6 as above
Rehman - 5 frustrating performance again, will he cut it in the Premiership?
Anyway last game for us unless we buy him
Yeates - 6 created what little we did create
Oatway - 5 lacking match fitness, will be back to full 100% crunching tackles at QPR!
Knight - 6 had to play too deep or wide to try and create anything
McPhee - 4 not at his best
Hart - 6 a couple of good crosses, but does he worry a defender?

Harding (for Rehaman 65 minutes) - 7 very lively, hopefully will get another start soon
Virgo (for Yeates 87 minutes) - 7 made an instant impact
Marney (not sure????) - 5 no impact
Flitney & El-Abd not used.

Another pathetic crowd of 6,036 with about 200 Oldham.

Danson was Danson, one foul on Knight was diabolical but he waved play on. The linesman gave some dreadful decisions as well.

Apathy is the word for this season, oh and extra drinking before/after matches to replace apathy!

I went to see Swan Lake on Friday in London (My Mums birthday treat) and that was more enjoyable than this match!
