Zamora Staying with The Albion

Bobby has stated that he will only leave Brighton for a premiership Club. The only Clubs that have expressed an interest are Spurs, Leicester and Charlton.
Micky Adams has stated that leicester do not have the money to buy Zamora, though it seems certain that he'll take Paul Brooker on a Bosman.

Dick Knight is reported to have turned down a £1.3m bid from Spurs, as it does not meet his valuation, thought to be £2.5m. Spurs seem to have turned their attention to Kanoute of West Ham. This leaves Charlton as the only current possibility. With no word coming out of the Valley it is thought that the asking price has put them off as well.

Zamora therefore has to buckle down in Division 2, score a hatful of goals before Christmas, and hope to be picked up by a Club with goalscoring problems in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Michels Kuipers is expected to be fit for the start of the season, having undergone on surgery on his kicking leg in April. The position on Dave Beasant is not clear, he is thought to want a guaranteed start, with the FDM fit, Brighton can't agree to that clause.

Simon Rodger & Dean Blackwell have been offered new contracts, thought to be at a salary level of 45% below last seasons. Both are investigating other options before deciding whether to put pen to paper on the deal.
