Zamora - Hero or Prima-donna?

He has been Top scorer for each of the last 3 Seasons, and his goals have certainly been the main factor in us winning the Div3 and Div2 Championships back to back.

Yesterdays Results mean relegation back to Div2 for us next season. Many people believe that after Bobby's learning experience with us, we've played in a higher division every season, he is now ready for a higher Division again next Season. That means the Premiership.

Zamora is currently rated at £4m, and has been watched by Glen Hoddle on numerous occasions this Season. Micky Adams has also been quoted as saying that he would buy him if Leicester had the money. Leicester have now put together their budget for their next season, back in the premiership, and their is money available for Micky to strengthen his squad.

Zamoras recent performances and a statement by him have led many to believe that he has not been playing to his potential during the last few games. Quotes after the final game included

"If the club wants to keep me here then that's that. I don't really have much say, do I?"

"I've got a contract, and that's football."

There were some positive statements in the same interview,

Zamora added: "It's been an extraordinary effort but we are still disappointed to drop out of the First Division.

"The whole club is special and the fans were unbelievable again. There's not much we can do now - just go home, have a rest and come back fighting next year."

It would seem that Bobby is itching to play at the highest level, but has he gone about it the wrong way, lack of effort, statements put out while we are still fighting for our lives.
