The 16-goal forward has been unable to agree personal terms with the Seagulls and Poyet admits he may have to look elsewhere.

"There is no change, nothing at all," said Poyet. "I don't know what is going on now but there is still time to do a deal.

"Sometimes you have to realise that if you want someone you are not always going to get him, but that is a normal transfer-window situation five days before the window is closed.

"It's probably going to be a busy last couple of days, both in and out. It's not something you can plan. It can happen right now or at 4.30pm on Monday."
