Seagulls must battle on - Elphick

Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tommy Elphick says that the Seagulls are not yet safe from relegation yet.Albion are currently on an unbeaten four-game League One run, Monday's 0-0 draw at Colchester having made it seven matches without loss away from home.

But they are just six points clear of trouble, Elphick admitting: "We've got to keep banging away because we're not clear yet. The job's only half done.

"We're still catchable so we've got to keep working every day in training."

The Seagulls have kept three clean sheets in their last six games, in which 22-year-old Elphick has been a permanent fixture.

"It's been a crazy season for me," he told BBC Sussex. "Up and down, and I'm really happy with my form.

"But you can't keep a clean sheet on your own. You have to have three next to you and the big fellah behind you."
