Sam Parkin - Realistic Target?

Mark McGhee is qouted by the Argus as saying "Sam Parkin has been one on our list for some time, I had him on loan at Millwall before he went to Swindon, so I have known about Sam for a long time."

However todays East Anglia Daily Times reports that Micky Adams, Coventry City's Manager, tabled a £100,000 cash down bid, with a further £100,000 to follow depending on appearances and other factors, which Ipswich rejected late last week.

It is understood that Ipswich would be willing to sell for around £350,000, and that Parkin was left out of the Ipswich squad so that Coventry could reconsider their bid.

So, with all this activity, and the money involved is Sam Parkin a realistic target for Mark McGhee?

The Albion are not able to compete with the amount of money that Ipswich are asking for the player, so is there another posibility. Do Ipswich covet another Albion player, perhaps in a swap deal.
