League Two champions Notts County host Huddersfield Town, while Rochdale are at home to Hartlepool.
Relegated Plymouth visit Southampton, many bookmakers' title favourites.
Last season's other relegated Championship side, Peterborough United, are at home to Bristol Rovers.

Danny Wilson's beaten League One play-off finalists Swindon Town kick off with a home game against one of his old clubs, Brighton.
New Colchester manager John Ward will take his side to Exeter, while Oldham player-boss Paul Dickov faces a relatively short trip to Tranmere, and Karl Robinson - the youngest manager in the League - takes his Milton Keynes side to Walsall.
Meanwhile, Brentford have possibly the longest journey of any club on opening day - travelling north to Carlisle.
