Alex Revell, signed from Rymans Premier League Chamions Braintree Town in Pre-Season , scored on his Albion debut on 43 minutes. Revell & Dean Cox were then both booked for the goal celebrations.

2 minutes later a Cox foul meant a second yellow and therefore a red followed. Dean will miss Tuesday Nights game at Withdean against Gillingham

Albion boss Mark McGhee told Seagulls World, "We've got to be really pleased about the result today. We felt that we had seen good signs in pre-season.

"There were also questions being asked today. Joel Lynch playing at centre-half for the first time at this level; Reidy back at right-back; Stokes coming in; Alex Revell making his debut for us; Coxy making his full debut.

"It's a fantastic result and it sets us up nicely for a good start to the season. Away from home, to win on the first day - it's a very important result us"
