Ravens View of Tramere v Brighton

The problem was that the plane had been refuelled, but the gauge on the plane didn't register enough fuel to get us to Manchester!

They finally rectified the problem, we were off and landed in Manchester at 10.50, caught the next train direct to Liverpool and were in the Head of Steam at Liverpool station with the lads who had come up by train.

We also met Gary C who had flown over from the IoM (and who was in trouble with his other half as had told his daughter to jump in a puddle, which she did, but is was deeper than expected and she got rather wet!!!!!!!), plus Drew and Calum were already sampling the great range of real ales.

We moved on to various pubs in Liverpool then hopped into a taxi and had a swift one in the Prenton Park before going to the game.

The match - well it was a shocker. The rain didn't help, but then again we didn't help ourselves. I thought the 3 players who came away from the game with any credit were Butters, Cullip and Jones.

Roberts was a clown and gave away the first penalty by attempting one of his out of the box dribbles that normally fail.

It did.

They rounded him and the cross was handballed and a fair penalty. It was taken by Mellon but Roberts guessed the right way and made a good save.

The next penalty was not so obvious. Handball? Push? Nothing? This time a different penalty taker and Roberts didn't get close.

After that Cullip played up front, we had several long range shots, Watson had a great placed Free Kick that got closer to the Mersey that the goal. Still credit to the 500+ Albion fans, the best songs being very un PC about Scousers etc etc.

After the game it was back to Liverpool then on to Manchester and the Saw Doctors gig at the Manchester Apollo. Sunday we visited the Lowry gallery, the main exhibit being the picture "Going to the Match" which the PFA recently purchased for #1.9m!

We NEED to be get some wins under our belt, I cant believe we are still 4th, it is a very poor division.
