Ravens View of Millwall 2-0 Brighton

If you get a chance to go I would recommend it, tickets were available on the night for £12.

Saturday morning and after a late leisurely breakfast we hoped on a bus and by opening time were in Borough market. We had a wander round, once again if you have the chance visit the place, the range and quality of food and drink is superb.

If you time it right you can take in plenty of samples so avoid needing any food in the pub!

Just after 11am we met the Fatty Taxman outside the closed Market Porter, so headed to the Southwark Tavern for a couple before heading back to the MP once it had opened at midday.

I met my mate Derby Pete who was coming along to the game and then off to the Ricky Hatton fight later that evening. Selby Clive soon arrived so my ticket distribution was complete!

The pub was soon heaving with Albion fans and market visitors, so at 2.30pm we headed off to London Bridge to catch the train to South Bermondsey. We just missed one, but caught the 2.43 and were soon following the signs to the away stand and no "walk of death" faced us this time, just a quiet pleasant stroll to the entrance!

We stood with the goal to our right, and the away stand was pretty full, we guessed at about 1,500 and the noise from both sets of fans was good. Some funny and not so funny chants.

As for the match, well the first half was poor, they finally scored after 20 minutes when a through ball left Harding scratching his head before reacting and by then it was too late. A cool finish from Dobie, I think he cost Millwall £500k from West Brom.

We needed to change formation as we were in our defensive stance, and McGhee only waited a couple of minutes into the second half before Knight was on.

The game changed dramatically and for 20 minutes we took the game to them. We attacked and had 3 of 4 goalmouth scrambles but couldn't score.

Marshall (Millwall keeper) had a great game and made several vital saves and blocks.

Wise came on with Ifill and that once again changed the nature of the game. Wise calmed it all down and had a big impact on the match.

Harding made his second mistake, backed of Ifill and he scored a superb goal, curling the ball round Kuipers.

At the death Leon took a tumble, but sadly failed to convert the penalty, Marshall superbly saved and recovered before Virgo could get to the ball.

Strangely we then ended up with a free kick and 2 Millwall players got booked!

After the game is was back to the Market Porter for a couple of beers, before heading to Shepherds Bush and a Saw Doctors gig.

Kuipers - 6 did all the he could, no chance with either goal

Reid - 6 looks promising as right wing back

Harding - 3 poor game, bad goals to give away

Hinshelwood - 6 solid

Cullip - 8 commanding performance, let down by team mates for stupid goals

Butters - 7 solid

Nicolas - 6 not in the game that much

Oatway - 6 as above

Carpenter - 7 strong return

Virgo - 5 first touch was dire

Claridge - 5 looked slow

Knight - 8 changed the game

Hammond - 6 why doesn't he start games?

Watson - 6 long awaited return, nice to see him back

Mayo and May not used. I take it Roberts is injured again?
