Ravens View of Crewe 3 Brighton 1

The train was full of Everton and a I think both Southampton fans going to the match!

We started off in "the last orders" then met the others in a real ale pub slightly further out of town. We got in the ground just as they kicked off and the referee was soon giving Crewe a one man advantage.

Reid was adjudged to have checked a Crewe player in full flight (a dive in my books) and they tucked away the free kick superbly. After that we never got into our stride. The next goal was poor defending.

Hinshelwood had an off day and managed several misplaced headers, the ball skimming off him and causing alarm all over the place. For the goal Hinshelwood and Reid went for the same ball, they blocked it but Mayo failed to pick up the man running through and he once again gave Kuipers no chance.

The referee blew up against us time and time again. The 1,000+ Albion fans were getting a little irate, but the second half was much the same.

The third goal looked like it had gone out for a goal kick, but the referee and lino (miles behind play) decided it didn't (seeing it on TV it most definitely did go out of play) and they were 3-0 up with probably 3 attempts on target.

On came Jarrett and reduced the deficit after intercepting a poor back pass.

After the game the Crewe lads in the pub said they couldn't believe the referee allowed the third goal and they thought he ruined the match as well!

Virgin trains actually got us back into Euston early as well so we managed to get the 9.17 back to Worthing but had to suffer the most boring QPR fan I have ever met.

Well QPR did West Ham, 400 hundred lads battered em in the ground, last time we went to Villa we took 700 and did em, we took 400 to Stoke and did em, I did 4 Brighton lads in Chapmans because they had a go at me and I couldn't have that, we put 4 brighton in hospital last season, his mate used his plaster cast and on and on and on.

This was all before I passed out asleep just after East Croydon. I had to revive Liz at Worthing out of an enforced trance!

A win tomorrow would be welcome!
