Ravens View of Brighton 1 Port Vale 1

We started brightly but not many chances were created. Harty somehow got a great shot in, McPhee collected the rebound and was bundled to the ground. Premiership prima donna Styles gave us the penalty and Knight tucked away league goal number 17.

The game went very flat after that. What we did create was down the left hand side with Mayo and Jones linking up well. Harty apparently got a poke in the eye so after 20 minutes Piercy replaced Hart.

Second half and we had a corner, we took it short corner (not something McGhee encourages - perhaps he will ban it after this!), we lose the ball, they sprint up field and substitute Littlejohn is left unmarked to score.

Now the midfield is struggling, Rehman in particular, but Mr McGoo takes off Jones, who was my MOTM by a long way. Rehman them proceeds to head one over from 5 yards and then moments later his chance to make amends and he puts an identical header against the bar.

Roberts then proceeds to give us some early pantomime moments. He goes to throw the ball out but somehow throws it down and side ways and has to scramble up and dive on the ball again. Then right at the death he blocks a shot but it bounces of him onto the head of Port Vales McPhee who somehow manages for 2 yards out to somehow head the ball up and onto the bar from almost on the floor!

So 1-1 was a fair result, the crowd looked more than 5,800+ as Port Vale filled the half of the away end we took, Brighton filled the otherside and V block was full, so no idea where the empty 1,000 seats were!
