Ravens View of Brighton 1 Peterborough 0

I thought Peterborough looked quite a good team, and I certainly hope they stay up rather than boring defensive Rushden and Diamonds.

The match was much more entertaining than Mondays and Posh were unlucky not to take the lead early on when Farrel hit the bar with Roberts well beaten.

Not long after we got awarded a penalty. I missed the TV highlights and couldn't see if it was handball or not at the time! Anyway Leon tucked away the penalty with ease and goal number 26 of the season for the good for nothing waste of space (or top league scorer in the Division doing the job he is paid to do!!)

After that goal both sides had chances. Roberts pulled off several great saves and we wasted several as well. Knight was stopped in his tracks, Piercey should have scored, Reid had two good attempts.

I was glad to hear the whistle and roll on Saturday. Bristol are looking a bit suspect every now and again, but can we solve our away day blues???

Anyone know how many tickets we have sold?

Roberts - 8 some good saves
Harding - 6 struggled at times
Virgo - 6 needs to play the more "subtle" ball every now and then!
Cullip - 7 good display and hopefully over his injury
Butters - 8 deserves most improved player award, possible player of the season?
Oatway - 7 got stuck in as usual
Carpenter - 6 still not back to his best, saving himself for the play offs?
Piercey - 7 adds another dimension to our play
Reid - 8 great debut and could be the play maker we have desperately missed this season
Knight - 8 put himself about, made tackles and scored goal number 26!
Iwelumo - 7 links well with Knight, if they are together next season I think they will frighten most teams!

Jones (on for Piercey) - 7 ran about confusing defenders for the 20 minutes he was on the pitch
Hart (on for Reid) only on for 5 minutes

Kuipers, McPhee and El-Abd not used
