Ravens View of BHA 2-1 Leeds

Well what can you say about Saturday. It was like watching 11 entirely different players to the last few matches. All 11 players were playing in familiar roles, with Hart leading the attack. The players passed and moved for each other and we deservedly took a 1-0 lead when Reid delicately deflect a Frutos cross into the net.

The atmosphere was already the best at withdean for an age (Blackwell said afterwards the crowd were like a 12th man for the albion - which made it 12 a-side as D'Urso probably had his leeds y-fronts on under his shorts), and this boiled up as Andy D'Urso decided he was the man, he was the one we had all paid to see, he would perform miracles by blowing for unseen fouls and mysterious decisions all round.

This came to a head when he let Leeds back into the game by awarding a penalty for Reid winning the ball. Leeds looked embarrassed by the decision. Blake tucked the penalty away and it was 1-1, Leeds had not looked like scoring and did not deserve this.

Later in the game D'Urso booked Hammond only when both players should have been booked for studs showing, Carole for kicking the ball away when Leeds got away with it all afternoon, he then somehow found 4 minutes injury time. This happened following our winning goal, a great through ball from Frutos saw Reid out wide right, he drilled the ball in and somehow Harty hooked it into the far corner.

So all in all a deserved 3 points. There were quite a few Leeds fans in the South stand, most just kept quiet like the one near us who didn't know what to do as we celebrated the winner, he did finally manage a fake smile and applause!

Great stuff!

Kuipers - 7 looked more confident and a couple of good clearances when they broke through

El-Abd - 6 looked solid at right back, caught once or twice

Lynch - 6 another solid display, lets give him an extended run in the team

Butters - 9 my MOTM, proved me wrong by putting in a commanding performance

McShane - 8 great battler

Reid - 7 happy to be back in his proper position, hope injury isn't too bad

Carpenter - 7 solid display along with Hammond

Hammond - 6 as above

Frutos - 8 great match, kept going for full 90 minutes

Carole - 8 as above

Hart - 9 pushed Butters for MOTM, never say die attitude, shows CKR how he should put himself about for 90 minutes

Robinson (for Reid) - 6 held the ball up a couple of times
