But Brezovan's performances - including a penalty save in Saturday's 2-0 win at Oldham - mean Poyet will not be able to guarantee a new keeper a place in the team.
"We have plenty of options but it depends what you are looking for," said the Uruguayan.
"Most available goalkeepers just want to come and play and with all due respect to them, and it doesn't matter where they are coming from, with Peter in his current form they have no chance of that."
