Now Where did I leave my nuts? (Brighton 3-2 Leicester)

I just hope the police with video cameras got him on screen so that wanted posters can be up for the first home game. This amusing interlude happened around half way through the second half.

We think it was a squirrel, although somebody said it could have been Nathan Jones Mohican!

The match - well what a difference from Friday at Yeovil. The players were clearly up for this one and my MOTM Dan Harding had a superb game at left midfield.

Harty headed us into a 1-0 lead with a far post header after woeful defending by Leicester and Walker being caught asleep as the header looped past him. Harding then dribbled his way through the Leicester midfield, played a brilliant ball through to Knight who held off some strong pressure to tuck the ball over Walker to make it 2-0.

Just before half time Leicester pulled one back with a well taken free kick, I thought Roberts was a bit slow reacting to it.

The second half was littered with the usual substitutions, and I missed the Leicester equaliser due to the squirrel's antics. Just before the end Nathan Jones broke free and knocked in the winner.

Overall a good display and a good work out. McPhee played well up front with Knight, who looked very sharp. Oatway adds the energy and enthusiasm to the midfield.

The line up was Roberts, Watson, Cullip, Hinchelwood, Jones, Carpenter, Oatway, Harding, McPhee, Knight & Hart. Second half saw too many changes to
remember. I think we used Wilkinson, Pethick, Marney, Rodgers & Butters, and probably more.

The crowd was just over 3,500 (about 150 from Leicester who sat in the bottom corner of the North Stand as the usual away stand was missing!!!) and the programme showed a picture of our new yellow away kit (available from 1st October). I thought the Leicester kit looked pretty decent last night, shame the players didn't look that interested.

It was nice to see another hero's welcome for Phil's favourite manager Micky Adams. Brooker had a very quiet return, I cant remember him doing anything in the 45 minutes, but then again Gillespie didn't do a lot first half.
