McNulty open to extended Iron stay

Jim McNulty would be happy to extend his loan spell at Scunthorpe beyond the agreed period in January. The Brighton left-back rejoined the Iron on loan last week and is desperate to impress after making three appearances in a six-week spell at the end of last season. "There had been talk of a permanent move before I joined on loan and that would have been fantastic for me," he told the club's official website. "I'm here on loan again for six months and I've just got to concentrate on doing everything I can to impress the manager, and the fans. "I'm not saying that's the end for me at Brighton. I made a lot of friends there and had a good rapport with the fans. I'm not closing any doors because they are a good club. "However, if I'm doing well in January and the loan got extended or the move could be made permanent then I don't see it being a problem if I'm happy at Scunthorpe."
