McGhee - I'm still searching for a target man

Mark McGhee talking to the official Site said today " I think if we'd had this style of player in the forward line on Tuesday night against Bristol Rovers - given that we put so many quality crosses into the box during the game - we would have won the game comfortably"

We are now looking over and over. I've spoke to several agents this morning. We're looking for a centre forward who can play well in the Championship. You normally play decent money for that, but we're trying to do that with no money

"We're searching everywhere: abroad, in all the divisions, in Scotland and in the non-league. It's not easy; especially when there are lots of clubs looking for the same type of player and there aren't that many around

"As far as the other divsions or even our divisions there are players playing in teams who are good enough, but we don't have the finances to tempt them away.

"We're looking for someone who's not playing in someone's team - now usually there's a reason for that. If it's at a higher level, that player may be gettable, but there's a whole list of clubs in the same position as us trying to get these type of players

"As far as abroad is concerned, we're taking a certain risk, but we'll look at the prospects abroad and see if we can bring somebody in who maybe a loan or somebody we can afford on a free transfer."
