Irishman Dawson and Englishman Cox have signed two-year deals with the O's.

Dawson, whose former clubs include Leicester City and Mansfield Town, told the Orient website: "It was a tough decision to leave Bury. I've got a lot of time for [manager] Alan Knill and a lot of good friends there.

"But it's a dream come true to make the step up to League One."
