Brighton & Hove Albion keeper Michel Kuipers says that he won his place back in the starting 11 as a result of working with the other goalkeepers. The 35-year-old Dutchman made his way back into boss Gus Poyet's plans in the new year after losing his place to Peter Brezovan after injury.

He told BBC Sussex: "I was concentrating on my own game.

"We work hard as a goalkeeping unit and try to improve each other's game as much as we can."

He continued: "I think the main thing is that you work together with people. I am a great believer of the goalkeepers' union.

"Pete, Josh [Pelling] and myself work really hard together with [goalkeeping coach] Tony [Godden] we just try to get better.

"If we get better as goalkeepers then it's only better for the team. That's the way I'm looking at it."
