Big Chris, who had been offered a two year contract by Mark McGhee, did not turn up for the first day of pre-season training yesterday.
McGhee said he understood that Iwelumo is in talks with a couple of League One Clubs, namely MK Dons & Doncaster.
If Iwelumo leaves Brighton would be left with just one fit striker, 17 year old Jake Robinson, for the start of the new season. Leon Knight is suspended for the first 3 games, while Chris McPhee has a broken bone in his foot that is expected to keep him out of action until late August.
