Injured duo to train with Albion

Poyet told BBC Sussex: "We need to help each other and know where we are standing with one another.

"There are no promises, that's the main point. If they get the chance to join someone else they will be free to go."

Hawkins has missed most of the season with an Achilles injury and has not been fit to play in any games since Poyet took charge in November.

Poyet said: "I didn't see Colin once. It's got to the wrong time. I think he will be ready for Monday. Unfortunately we are not here on Monday.

"If we think during pre-season they can help us, we will tell them. Even if we release people we will respect the players and give them the opportunity to train with us."

The Uruguayan also hopes to sort out the future of goalkeeper Michel Kuipers this week.

The Dutch stopper has been sidelined since March with a broken finger and is also out of contract in the summer.
