Henderson's last game for the Albion was the 4-1 home defeat against Crewe, he then went on International duty with the Republic of Ireland. Michel Kuipers took over the goalies shirt and starred in the 1-0 loss to Bristol City.

Outgoing Manager Mark McGhee had told him he would be back in the eleven for the game at Millwall, howevere after McGhees sacking Dean Wilkins took over the reigns and preferred Kuipers.

Henderson was dropped from todays squad by Wilkins after handing in the transfer request. Dick Knight, speaking to The Argus said: "I think the timing of his request is absolutely outrageous, with the club in a period of change. The timing is very unprofessional. I will deal with it in due course. In the meantime, Dean took him out of the squad and I totally agree with that."
