Falmer - Prescott wishes to proceed to decision.

On Wednesday 23rd June a letter was sent from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister to all parties who were represented at the Public Enquiry last year.

These individuals & organisations had been invited to comment on correspondence received, mainly from BHAFC, after the negative Local Plan decision by Chales Hoile.

The letter clearly asks that final comments are required by next Wednesday, 30th June, and is reproduced below:

"I now attach copies of the representations received in relation to my letters of 26 May and 4 June. This letter affords you and all parties the opportunity to comment on the representations received insofar as they relate to matters not already discussed at the inquiry.

"Please note that this is not an opportunity for you or other parties to re-state your case. All representations already made, both for and against the proposals, will be taken into account by the First Secretary of State, so far as they are relevant, in making his decision.

"The Secretary of State wishes to proceed to decision and does not intend that the exchange of representations should continue indefinately.

"For that reason final comments are invited within 7 days of the date of this letter - that is no later than Wednesday, 30 June".

No doubt, once this date has passed a report will be given to John Prescott by his Office, and a decision will be forthcoming. Hopefully a YES before the promotion celebration parade on 18th July.
