Brighton v Palace this Friday at Withdean

Since it was set up in 2001, REMF have provided a two-season package of support for a team of youth footballers in Queens, New York.

Earlier this year, REMF embarked on a UK funding programme and are now offering a range of grants to Sussex and Croydon based youth football teams.

The first local team to receive a grant for kit and equipment, King George United from Southwick will join REMF as guests at this year's Memorial Match.

Robert used the name 'Ricky Malowe's hairpiece' on North Stand Chat, the message board for Brighton Fans. Ricky, Albion legend with 7 goals in 26 appearances is travelling down from Edinburgh for the 3rd time ( a 1000 mile round trip ) to honour Robert Eaton again.

The first match at Southwick in November 2001 attracted 800 people. That game was won on penalties by Palace, and the South London supporters won again last year. The trophy has now been held by our friends in Croydon since November 2001 and we want it back !.

There is a superb raffle on the night with Albion gear and other prizes, the full use of the hospitality suite for all and catering facilities ( burgers !). We hope to have some " faces " there as well.

Douglas Eaton (Robert's Father) will be there with Robert's mother Laura and his sisters. Douglas will be presenting the trophies to the teams again.

What better way to start the weekends festivities than to come along for a few drinks and cheer our boys on and bring the trophy back to Brighton for Robert.

All the money will go to the fund to help local children to play football. See REMF.net
