Our last win over the alex was in January 1969. We won 3-1 at the Goldstone on January 25th with goals from Dave Armstrong, Kit Napier and Alex Dawson.
That was the first of 4 wins in a row that saw us rise from 18th to 10th in the Division 3 table. Dawson scored 8 goals in those four games out of a season total of 17.
We finished that Season in 12th place, Crewe were relegated.Championship
