Brighton defender Inigo Calderon (hip) has been ruled out for the rest of the season, with Arsenal loanee Gavin Hoyte likely to return at right-back.On-loan Kazenga LuaLua (hamstring) has returned to Newcastle for treatment, so Ashley Barnes retains his place.

Bristol Rovers pair Joe Kuffour (hamstring) and Byron Anthony (hip) are both major doubts.

Midfielder Dominic Blizzard (hamstring) and defender Steve Elliot (medial ligament) remain sidelined.

Brighton manager Gus Poyet told BBC Sussex: "The players should motivate themselves. We're doing everything we can to make sure that we keep winning and come back to the way that we want to play.

"The last couple of games we didn't play as good as we can but it's important we keep showing progress.

"It's a very important three games for me. If the players think they are not important for them, they're making a big mistake.

"Bristol Rovers are looking to to get back to winning ways and they're a team who like to play so it could be a great, entertaining game to watch."

Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Bristol: "We feel a little bit frustrated as a group that, over the last three games, we have not got what we deserved.

"The results have been a bit harsh on us.

"There's three games to go and we are very, very keen to finish with some good performances.

"A lot of the younger players have performed to a good level and I have no hesitation in giving them another chance."
