Brighton have completed the signing of two Argentine midfielders and finalised a deal for Scunthorpe's Matt Sparrow.Central midfielder Agustin Battipiedi, 20, and left-sided midfielder Cristian Baz, 23, have joined from Argentine third division side Comunicaciones.
They were scouted by Seagulls boss Gus Poyet in South America and both have been given one-year deals.
Midfielder Sparrow, 28, has sealed a three-year contract with the League One side.
Poyet told BBC Sussex: "We've been looking for players since we got safe from relegation last year.
"We had the chance to go to Argentina to see them play live. We had a few options to be fair.
"For a moment we were thinking of brining plenty of them but you need to pick the right ones," he added.
"I'm sure Batti will adapt because he's a very clever player. Baz can play wide left or right or as a second striker and has plenty of qualities."
Sparrow was a Scunthorpe trainee and scored twice in the 2009 League One play-off final.
Poyet said: "Matty was one of the options as soon as we lost Andrew Crofts. It was a difficult negotiation so we're delighted to have him here.
"He's a box-to-box player, has played in the Championship and is perfect for the way we want to play."
Meanwhile former Charlton midfielder Radostin Kishishev is training with the Albion with a view to earning a permanent deal.
