Brighton and Hove Albion have extended the loan of Newcastle winger Kazenga LuaLua until the end of the season. The DR Congo-born 19-year-old joined Gus Poyet's side on an initial one-month loan in February.

He has played five games since joining the Seagulls, helping them to a four-match unbeaten run in League One.

LuaLua told BBC Sussex: "It's a tough league to play in but I'm really enjoying my time here. The team is winning games so that helps."

Poyet added: "He's something different. We're working with him to try and help him keep improving.

"He's got plenty of things to get better, he knows that. We're looking after him and I think that's important as well for Newcastle."
