Brighton 3-0 Grimsby. 4 points Clear

After a pretty dull first half, the Albion moved up a gear after Bob Bookers half time chat, scoring 2 goals in a minute within 10 minutes of the restart. Zesh Rehman scoring first, followed by a Leon Knight header.

Knight added the third with a last minute penalty after more good work by Chris Mcphee. That's 10 goals in 12 games for Little Leon. Better than Bobby?

Kuipers has definitely reclaimed the starting Jersey in goal with yet another clean sheet, and another brilliant save.

The win left Grimsby manager Paul Groves fuming "The result is unbelievable. For 50 minutes we were comfortable and we played the best stuff we've produced for a long while. They hardly got out of their half in the first-half, but we have to finish off our chances.

Groves was particularly annoyed by Leon's first "It was defensively poor. How can somebody who's 5 ft 6 get a free header in the box? It's unacceptable.

"We didn't give ourselves a chance by conceding the second goal so quickly. It was their first spell of the game and we conceded."

The next 2 league games are both away, at Bournemouth next Saturday then Brentford the Tuesday after. Before both of those is a home match on Monday in the LDV Vans Trophy against Forest Green Rovers.
