Brighton 2-1 QPR, We are Top of the League !!

Leon Knight has scored 4 goals in 2 league games to help us to the top of the table.

It didn't start well, QPR had some great movement up front, slicing our defence apart and beating the offside on a number of occasions. Argentinian defender Padula put Rangers into the lead on 12 minutes with a left-footed free-kick from the right that fooled everyone, including himself and Ben Roberts, to find its way into the back of the net.

Harty was looking good down the right wing for much of the first half, on 15 minutes he got a great cross into the middle. Leon Knight got down to it, and for the 3rd time in 2 league games, headed the ball in from about three feet off the ground. 1-1.

The half continued in much the same fashion with most of the Albions penetration coming from OGH down the right flank, and QPR threatening through the middle.

The Albion came out playing the ball on the floor to much greater effect during the second half. The game swung Albions way when Mayo went in for a slightly late tackle on QPR's Forbes. The Ref gave a free-kick, but Forbes decided to take his own retribution on Mayo by head-butting him. Forbes saw Red, Mayo yellow for the tackle.

5 minutes later Knight forced a great save from the QPR keeper, and soon after got the winner.

Henderson put the ball through the Rangers' defence, Knight was first to react and slid in at the back post to put the ball into the back of the net, with his foot.

The win puts Albion alphabetically above Luton, as one of just three sides left with a 100% record.

Brighton are away at Barnsley on Saturday.
