Barnsley Manger Andy Ritchie, speaking to his Clubs Official Site Said "We are interested in Colin and have made an enquiry to Brighton. That is as far as it has gone at the moment although things are still ongoing".

Barnsley Chairman Gordon Shepherd backed this up by saying "The manager and his coaching staff rate him very highly and believe there is a chance we could get him,"

"At the moment we're not sure how much they want for him but I would think it would be in the region of £100,000-£125,000."

Kazim-Richards has not featured in the last 2 games for the Albion after handing in a transfer request to Manger Mark McGhee.
