AFC Bournemouth 1-2 BHA

Last updated : 30 July 2005 By Bob Gear
Albion won 2-1 at the Fitness First Stadium with second half goals from Charlie Oatway & Dean Hammond.

Barry Ashby joined Guy Butters in the Centre of defence. Ashby was released by Gillingham at the end of last season and is looking for a Club. Mark McGhee decided against Sekou Berthe following his display at Oxford in midweek.

The positives from the game included the link up work between Right Back Jason Dodd, and Paul Reid playing Right Midfield. Dean Hammond played well, running with the ball down the left blank.

Mark McGhee is still looking for players to complete his squad for this Season, expect Ashby to be offered a one year deal in the next few days. The interest in Alan Blaney has not waned, McGhee needs to get a keeper in before Saturday as cover for the injured Kuipers.

Mark Fish who trained with The Albion on Tuesday, but took a knock and was unable to feature in the friendly at Oxford, has been told by McGhee to call him when he's fit again so that The Albion boss can take a look at him.
