Tony Adams has kicked his last football as a professional player, he did not report for pre-season training yesterday along with the other players not involved in the World Cup. Arsenal are expecting Adams to announce his retirement today.
Adams will not head straight for any management position, preferring instead to spend time with his children and to play some golf, something he was prevented from doing last year due to his injuries.
Latest rumours about the Albion job are that there is still a name in the frame, that the potential candidate has premiership management experience and has been out of the game for a year.
