If You're all going to Selhurst Clap your hands

Loads of Brighton fans started to arrive as the morning/afternoon moved. We moved on all of about 100 meters to the next pub , the Brewery Tap, where we met up with the BHAlba's and also found Roy Chuter and his lot were tucking into real ale and food.

Apparently Leicester got relegated against Man Utd,

I'm Clapping, honestly!
but who was interested in premiership dross, they sacked Peter Taylor after 8 games and they have had how many to recover their season. Easy target - blame Taylor. Perhaps the sale of the best players, forced on Taylor, was the real reason. Take out the quality and heart of a team and what do you expect. Nice ground for Division one!

We then moved on to the Wortley Almshouse (My mate phoned me from the pub but it was so noisy in both pubs we set off in search of a pub called the Wobbly Hippopotamus! We did find it!) Our last port of call was a pub called the Office where we met up with Phil Blackman.

We headed towards the ground and Brighton fans were everywhere. We met up with Selby Clive and Southport Jamie and were soon on a very very noisy terrace. As for the match, it was nail biting stuff. I had been round to a work colleagues the night before, who supports Wolves, and sat placidly whilst him and his mate went through the agony of watching Wolves losing to Millwall and handing West Brom the initiative!

It was my turn to suffer this time! First BZ fluffed a penalty and then a one on one with the keeper. He was clearly worried about his shoulder, but once he had fallen on it in the 2nd half he seamed much happier and became more influential.

Peterborough played some reasonable football, Brighton had the odd spell, but we need a flash of inspiration. Over to BZ!

When BZ scored the away terrace and seats went mental and the singing got louder and louder. It was a great goal and showed what true quality the man is. It was a great turn and shot (from memory) and the feeling of euphoria after that spread through everyone. We had 20+ minutes to hang on and Cullip defended brilliantly, as did everyone, every player putting in 110% effort to keep out Peterborough. We gave them endless free kicks, but they wasted all of them!!!

It's a shame BZ won't break Peter Wards record (unless he gets 4 goals in the last two games), then again let him do it next season in Division one.

The final whistle was greeted with mass celebrating by both players and fans, I think we all knew that win had put us up. My MOTM on Saturday was Kuipers for us and the Ray Parlour look a like for Peterborough (Number 16)..

We headed back for the Six Belles after the match and (I think) left Peterborough some time after 7.30. We had a good old sing song in the pub and it felt so good to win a third game on the trot and put the pressure on Reading.

I was out in Birmingham that evening /night and the party went on until about 2am. It was the party night at a Vets Conference and I have discovered that if you own animals be very worried about the next time you need to take your animal to the Vets, they are all mad (or alcoholics!!!!!!!).

Roll on next Saturday and we can celebrate the Championship, let's do it for Harty.

Anyone know when the voting for player of the seasons starts? I will be voting for Kuipers - best keeper I have seen play for the Albion.
