Bad & Good

We arrived at the usual 2.55 and took up our seats, laughed at the pathetic turn out from Rotherham - 250 tops for a team pushing for a play off spot!

Luckily Brighton had sold most of the returned tickets, so not sure why the crowd was so low, did people have empty seats around them?

The first half was dire, we started off as we finished at Stoke. Luckily Rotherham were just as bad.

Second half and what a difference, what did Coppell say to them? The difference was epitomised by Rougier. I would have given him a rating of 2 for the first half and 9 for the second half.

The goal was strange and luck was on our side again! Zamora put Rougier through, he should have scored but the ball walloped against the keeper and struck the defender and went into the goal, wooooo hooo!

Shortly after and Chippy puts in a great corner and Zamora hits it home, not sure if it was a volley or bundled in (mixture of match reports in the Sunday papers) as the goal area was so crowded with people.

After that the game was over. Danny put a volley high and wide, but signalled to the bench it was only just over!

We need Forest to win tonight, then we can put a dent in their promotion bid on Saturday!

My ratings

Beseant - 8 looked much more with it, and made some good saves (especially a low down one towards the end!)
Watson - 5 didn't do a lot
Mayo - 5 as above
Blackwell - 7 much better than in the week, back to his reliable self! Ingimarsson - 7 as above
Cullip - 10 massive display again
Carpeneter - 8 never stopped battling
Rodgers - 6 battled well
Brooker - 5 very quiet game
Zamora - 3 first half, 8 second half, sprung to life!
Rougier - 2 first half , 9 second half, never stopped running, falling over, battling and getting in the box and scaring the defenders!

I don't remember any subs being used!
